You can be assured that when you come to St. Mark's you have quality, certified individuals that are excited to have your children be a part of our congregation. Laura makes playing fun and educational, and knows how important it is to provide a safe and enriching environment for our little ones.
When not assisting with St. Mark's nursery on Sunday mornings, Laura is busy at work at 4C's - Community Coordinated Child Care of Johnson County where she serves as Executive Director. Laura has over 20 years of experience in early child care. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mount Saint Clare College and a BA in Early Childhood Education from Kendall College.
A native Iowan, Laura lived in Indianapolis for several years before returning to Iowa in 2002 to be closer to family. (And yes, she is a huge Hawkeye fan and an Indiana Fever fan!) In her free time, Laura loves traveling. One of her favorite recent trips was to Alaska with her daughter and parents. She also enjoys making hand-stamped cards, reading, playing games, and spending time with her family.
